Roadmap
A ten-year project, already seven years in.
This did not start as a concept deck. A satellite was launched, a chain was run on it, a transaction was signed in orbit and the architecture was filed for protection — all before the current wave of space and AI investment began.
History
What has already happened, before the current build.

2018
Complete
Reach orbit
Partner SpaceQuest launches AprizeSat-5 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9, giving the project a live testbed in low Earth orbit.
2020
Complete
Sign in space
On 13 December, part of the hybrid SovereignSky chain runs on-orbit and produces a verified blockchain signature — one of the first ever made in space, and likely the first by a US company.
2021–2022
Complete
Protect and publish
The 365-page international patent application is published as WO2021030288A1, and the August 2022 whitepaper sets out the eight-satellite equatorial constellation, the Solar Connectivity Box and the Sovereign coin family.
Ten years
A decade of building toward a constellation.
What began as a signature aboard AprizeSat-5 becomes an operating financial layer in orbit.
Capital
A public listing planned for next year.
The infrastructure phase — satellites, ground units and the regulated rails behind SpaceFile — is capital intensive and long-dated. A public listing is the funding route best matched to a project of that shape, and to a mission that should be accountable in the open.
Constellation build
Use of fundsAcquisition, integration and launch of the operational satellite fleet.
Ground deployment
Use of fundsConnectivity boxes, handsets and smart cards distributed through field partners.
Licensing and compliance
Use of fundsPayment permissions, spectrum and regulatory approvals market by market.

The next launch window is the next milestone.
Each phase adds nodes, coverage and settlement capacity to the network already proven in space.
